NGO leadership and management is the topic of the second of a series of online trainings for the participants in the Initiative. The seminar took place on November 4th and was focused on the basic principles for good management of civic organizations in a challenging environment. Leading the training was Krasimira Velichkova - Executive Director of Bulgarian Donors ' Forum. She also has extensive experience on the topics concerning philanthropy, social entrepreneurship and leadership. During the subsequent discussion, the participants searched for effective strategies for NGO management, as well as inspiring examples of leadership of civic organizations. The online meeting ended with a job-assignment. Every participants was asked to prepare an operational annual plan for the activities of her/his organization for 2020. All of them took the commitment to develop the plan by the end of the month.
Only a month ago the participants in the Initiative have taken online training on the topic: “Communications and work with electronic media” coached by leading journalist Maria Cherneva. The training topics are in line with the preliminary developed program, but also they are chosen considering the participants’ needs that were shared during the first face to face training, which took place in Sofia in the month of June 2019. Each training concludes with a practical assignment. Then there is a final online meeting with the trainer for the purpose of feedback on the results.
