For more than 15 years Nikolay Nikolov from Burgas has been working on the ground with people in need. As part of the team of the association "The Faithful Guardian", every day he comes face to face with hundreds of difficult fates. It is these encounters that motivate him to work for every person in Bulgaria to have a decent life in a just society.
For more than 15 years Nikolay Nikolov from Burgas has been working on the ground with people in need. As part of the team of the association "The Faithful Guardian", every day he comes face to face with hundreds of difficult fates. It is these encounters that motivate him to work for every person in Bulgaria to have a decent life in a just society.
The association works for this through various initiatives. So far the team of the organization has distributed nearly 100 tons of food to families and institutions and over 1000 tons of humanitarian aid - clothes, shoes, beds, and medical supplies. They have helped over 6000 children to start and continue their education. They have organized dozens of courses and provided free medical check-ups.
Niki is one of the 60 young people who has undergone the training of the WCIF Initiative. He believes that his participation in the training gave him valuable knowledge and contacts that he maintains and develops nowadays. Get to know his work better with the video featured below.
The Project “Initiative for Building the Next Generation Civic Leaders “ is implemented with the financial support of Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway under the Active Citizens Fund Bulgaria within the framework of the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area. The main objective of the project is an accumulation of knowledge, and skills and creating the conditions for transfer of experience to young leaders of civic organizations. The project is implemented by the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation.
