The youth organization from the town of Smolyan "Young Researchers for Youth Development” /YRYD/ won the ffirst place in the initiative „MISSION VOLUNTEER – (IM)POSSIBLE“ in the Voluntary Organisation 2020 category, organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sport. This category recognizes the organizations with the most interesting, useful and different volunteer activities carried out in 2020.
The awards are organized for the fifth consecutive year by the Youth Policies Directorate team. They are aimed at both outstanding young volunteers from all over the country and NGOs. The aim of the initiative is to promote the good practices of outstanding young people and organizations in the field of volunteering, who through their good example "infect" other young people with the spirit of humanitarian action.
Due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and the epidemic situation in the country, the traditional official ceremony for the International Volunteer Day was held online.
The young people of YRYD would like to thank all the people and organizations that have supported them, as well as the Municipality of Smolyan for their nomination.
