The last of the trainings under the project Initiative for Building the Future Generation of Civic Leaders was completed. Participants in the project met with mentors, experts on various topics related to the work in NGOs. The purpose of the meetings was for the young leaders to talk with specialists who have experience in the important issues that the young people are working on, to ask their questions and to gain knowledge and advice from prominent practitioners in the field of philanthropy and civic activism.

Apart from the already announced mentors - Тeodora Bakardgieva, Biljana Gyaurova-Vegerdseder, Krasimira Velichkova, Lujbomiraa Kolcheva, Antoaneta Vaasileva, Pavel Kunchev, Yana Bjurier, the Executive Director of Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) – Iliyana Nikolova and the Program Director of the Foundation – Monika Pisankaneva also took part as mentors of the participants.

Participants were asked to choose one of the above-mentioned experts with whom to hold a series of meetings and discuss the issues that most affected their field of work. Here is what some of them shared after the meetings:

Specifically for me, this was the most useful part of the program and Yana was a great, dedicated and very responsive mentor. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to touch and work with such a person, because through her I discovered the direction in which we should develop as an organization and what I want to become "when I grow up" (a little more :) )." - Peter Bodurov, Podobri (Improve) Foundation"

"Mentoring laid the foundation for cooperation between my mentor and myself and strengthened the participation of the Institute of Mediation and Dispute Management in NAM" - says Julia Radanova, IMEUS

"Thank you for the chance and I hope we will continue to build together the future of the community in the days to come." - Valentin Kehayov, Young Researchers for Youth Development Association
