The fourth Webinar for participants in an Initiative to Build the Future Generation of Civic Leaders of Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation /WCIF/ was held in Zoom on April 9th 2020.

The topic of the training was "Our response in times of crisis". The webinar is in response to the situation created in the country by the COVID-19 pandemics and crisis. The month-long quarantine forced many non-governmental organizations to restructure their work in part or in full. The consequences of this are still unpredictable, but there is a real chance that many of them would have a negative effect on the overall organizational performance. One of the great dangers is that some of the organizations will cease their activities permanently due to a lack of finances. Therefore, this time the format was not so much educational, but rather aimed at mutual support.

In a candid conversation between the Executive Director of Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation, Iliyana Nikolova and the participants in the Initiative, examples of adaptation to forced changes were shared. Iliyana told how she and the FRGI team were able to quickly reorient themselves to a remote form of work. For their part, the participants briefly revealed how they acted after the restrictive measures were put in place and whether this affected the cause for which they work.

Finally, some of them shared useful materials and applications that help them move their projects online.

The positive thing about Webinara is that all participants are still motivated and purposeful, despite the trials they are subjected to. Everyone is looking forward to the times when the virus will be history. And in the meantime, they are actively communicating with their audiences online.
In our next publications we will share with you some of their exciting stories.

The webinar is a part of the project "The Initiative for building the future generation of civic organizations leaders" implemented by Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF). The project is implemented with the financial support of Active Citizens Fund Bulgaria under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA FM) 2014-2021, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
