The competition for participation in the Initiative for building the future generation of civic leaders is extended by one month.

Because of the huge interest on the part of young civil society leaders who are graduating from university the requirement for high education of the applicants is dropped off.

Until 18th April 2019, civil leaders aged up to 35 years who are motivated to develop themselves and the organization they are part of can send documents for participation in the competition.

Those who are interested in participating should send the necessary package of documents for application to the following e-mail address: konkurs@frgi.bg. The form and application instructions could be found here.

The initiative will support representatives of civil organizations aged up to 35 years to learn everything important for the management of a civil organization. Trainings are foreseen in four thematic modules-from global problems and local solutions, through fundraising and strategic communications to impact assessment. The training is interactive and includes examples from the real environment. Each thematic module concludes with practical assignment for the completion of which the trainees will rely on mentors. The Initiative also foresees the creation of an alumni club, where all participants will exchange experiences and ideas.

The Initiative for building the future generation of young civil society leaders is implemented by Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) and aims to help the development of a new generation of civic leaders in Bulgaria, who have the knowledge and skills to work effectively in an environment of shrinking space for civil society and limited resources.

The Initiative is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA financial mechanism and the Active Citizens Fund (FM of EEA) 2014 – 2021.
