An interesting initiative pleases the residents and guests of the town of Smolyan. Valentin Kehayov, chairman of the Young Researchers for Youth Development Association and participant in the project Initiative for Building Future Generation of Civic Leaders, funded by the EEA Active Citizens Fund, together with young people from the town placed attractive signs with an appeal to visitors of the area to keep nature clean.

"Your mother doesn't work here, clean up after yourself!" and "Drop by drop, a spring rises" are some of the messages the young people sent to the locals and guests in Smolyan.

The messages and advice on the signs aim to remind people of their responsibility to keep clean and protect the environment and that it is up to them to maintain the places they love to visit.

The young people talked about their idea in the programme "Before Noon" on bTV. Watch the full report here.
