Boris is one of the participants in the first edition of the Initiative and was part of WCIF and Eurofootball Sports Talents program. What motivates him to participate and how this affects the activity of his organization, read in the following lines.
Tell us about yourself and your job? How your organization makes the world a better place? My name is Boris Nedyalkov and I am 26 years old. I'm a very proactive person. I like to provoke myself by embarking on new challenges and projects. I am the founder of the BOCAIA Association, and my main goal is to encourage young people to participate in my organization. The work of the Association is concentrated in Vidin region, partnering together with various educational, sports and cultural organizations.
Why did you decide to take part in the Initiative? I was invited by Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation /WCIF/ to join the Initiative. I know the high professionalism and dedication of the entire staff of the Foundation. This inspired me to implement my ideas exactly through their Initiative. I want to use this opportunity to express my gratitude for the support I have recieved from them.
What were your expectations when you enrolled and did they come true?
I expected to meet motivated people from civic organizations. Of course, this turned out to be true, and I acquired new and useful skills to apply in my everday practice.
What happened for you within the framework of this project?
I met a lot of interesting people. I am pleased that in the future we will work together and share our experience in the framework of the training provided by the Initiative.
What is most useful for you from the Initiative?
The most useful thing for me is meeting colleagues from various organizations, the possibility of sharing knowledge, skills and experience, as well as working together in solving certain cases.
Did your participation in the Initiative improve in any way your work performance?
Definitely. I began to pay more attention to detail, I became more precise in my work. I always knew this was necessary for the success of an organization. But when you start applying good practices in your own business, the results are more than satisfying.
What are your goals, what are you dreaming of?
I dream of being able to form a bigger team of professionals. I need my organization to reach larger scale and one day I will ask questions of participants in my initiative. Thanks for the opportunity to tell about my impressions of the Initiative and provide feedback.
